In the past Opals were used to create invisibility. The precious stone was wrapped in a fresh Bay Leaf and carried on their person.
( I wonder how many times they got caught before they figured out this didn't work quite as well as they thought? Of course I am sure they blamed it all on the incompetent Wizard )! <(;^}}> ! Poor Guy!
