My friend Mickey was diagnosed with uterine sarcome a month ago. Today the Dr. just informed her that it had spread to the pelvic bones and to a femer. It has masticised and is in stage 4. Find out next week the prognosis. She needs all the prayers we can get for her.

Please continue to Hold Baby Jayden up in prayer for Healing and strength he is making a remarkable recovery but still has a long road ahead of him.

Another prayer is needed for a young woman and mother, named Kristina who is fighting for her life, Please Hold her up in prayer for strength and healing!

A third Prayer Request is for Kala a beautiful little girl, who's shunt has malfunctioned and possibly headed for her 8th surgery.

He is in regular room and doing great!! He took a regular bottle this morning and ate 4 oz like a little lumberjack..LOL...He is laying in crib cooing at us right now.

Urgent Prayer Request: Please hold a very sweet special little friend of mine, Kayla up in prayer as she again goes into surgery in the morning for a mal-fuctioning shunt. This sweet little girl has had more than her share of surgeries this last year. She needs Healing and Strength and her momma needs held up in prayer as well for strength in caring for Kayla.

UPDATE on Jayden!! He has been without a seizure 48hrs so they removed all the EEG leads. Aunt Frankie Said he threw a livid fit about having his head washed. Typical little boy!! Yeah!! He is still on the vent, they want him to have more rest. Every hour he is gaining ground!! Please Keep the prayers going for this little Warrior!! God is Great!!

Jayden's Update: Carol Just called hospital again to check on little one. He is still stable and has had no more seizures. Still on ventilator and they are evaluating whether or not to take him off yet. They are not quite sure his breathing is stable enough yet. We are making progress, but I would appreciate continued prayers. Will update tonight! OK Family and Family of Friends Lets hold this little Tyke UP in Heavy Duty Prayers for Strength and Healing!!

Well as some of you know Ray Franks is in the Hospital at Shattuck. Irregular heart beat etc. Keeping him until at least Monday and will do an echocar. Goes to cardialogist on Tuesday in WW. Please cont to send Prayers.

Briley Update

Briley's last clinic appointment went just fine. Bryson also went with us and I think it helps Briley having little brother there with her. Briley is getting very good about not crying when her port gets accessed! We saw a little boy there that we haven't seen since our first month of treatment. He had AML and is doing very good! It is very encouraging to see kids conquering this awful diesease.
Briley is doing very well and acting like a normal 4 year old should. Even though her and Bryson cannot go to daycare yet, we have decided to let her attend dance class and "church school". She needs to get out and be a kid. But I'm sure the first time she gets sick, that will be the end of that. She will still have to be hospitalized for a week at Cooks if she gets sick. We will still be "on guard" for signs of sickness and if anyone around appears to be sick.
Most other kids that have been around Briley have adapted well with her lack of hair. This was a concern of ours and still is. A couple of kids have asked "did you get a new haircut"? We laughed and explain and that was all that was every said about it. We took Briley to the mall a few days ago. She was wearing her mask the whole time and a young boy asked "where did your hair go"? The parents immediately started apologizing. We told them not to apologize, kids are naturally curious and are not afraid to ask. However, Briley did have one girl say "your hair looks funny" and said this over and over with her mom standing right there. Mom said something to her daughter, but this did not phase her and she continued to say that her hair looks funny. I know kids are kids and that she meant no harm, but we were dissappointed that mom didn't do more about the situation. This really hurt Briley's feelings and that's all she talked about that night.
I think that if you explain to the kids first about her hair situation then they will understand and move on. This worked very well with the kids at dance and not a one of them said a thing about it.
Briley's next appointment will be on the 19th. It will be a short (hopefully) visit for the vincristine and MT. Only 3 more clinic visits until Maintenance!

To all of my Prayer Warriors- Carol just updated that Jayden is 6 hrs off new seizure med and continues seizure free at this time. There is a possibility they may take him off the vent tomorrow. Please continue to hold this wee soldier up in prayer, he is improving! God is Great!

Eric is doing wonderful :) His left side is very weak, but thats nothing compared to what we were facing, find out next week if he will recieve anymore chemo or radiation but its looking like hes beat this awful thing and will be coming home very very soon:) praise god!!!

Think Like A Child

  Good evening, I would like to thank
Anna's Legacy for inviting me to do this guest post.
 Anna is my sister and it is her spirit that lives
 through all that we do.  She spread love and
cheer to all around her and we hope
 to do the same in her honor.

 Do you remember that old saying
"as a child I thought like a child"?
 Maybe we should go back and try
to remember how to think
 like children do. As we regain our
 innocence and let go
of some of the worries of the day we
slip into a beautiful
 place of peace, harmony, imagination
and just maybe hope.
 As I am at my Grandmother's house for a visit.
I am transported back in time to
when we used to hide under the wild roses,
climbed trees and picked apples for homemade apple butter.
We rode our bikes up and down the lane and
 rainbows were God saying hello.
   As I watch my sister Jennifer and
 brother-in-law Mike with their new baby
 I know that they will experience those days
through the eyes of their daughter
and it makes me happy. When was the last time that you
 thought like a child?
