The Christmas Visitor
By Cathy Collar
It’s Christmas Eve,
the ground is white.
I find it hard to sleep tonight.
Impatiently, I wait to see,
What Santa Claus will bring to me.
So excited that I cannot sleep.
I Creep down the stairs to sneak a peek.
What‘s that standing by the tree?
It’s light’s so bright, I cannot see !
I am picked up in gentle arms,
Placed back in bed away from harm.
Now as I settle down to sleep,
And pray the lord my soul to keep.
While I am drifting into slumber,
I cannot help but to wonder,
Was Santa standing by the tree,I find it hard to sleep tonight.
While I am drifting into slumber,
I cannot help but to wonder,
Or Jesus come to visit me?
