Fallen Angel ~ The Conclusion

The tornado barreled toward May. There was no way to outrun it. As she fell to her knees, she heard the bells ringing in the village, telling people to take shelter. Her sister, April, had made it. She and the townspeople would be safe.

May smiled, bowed her head and began to pray. She did not pray for herself, instead she prayed for her sisters, that they would find happiness. She prayed for Emerald, Diamond and the other angels that they would find a way back into Heaven. She prayed that the townspeople all remained safe.

The wind whipped at her back as her ears popped. She looked up at Thunder, he had an evil smile on his face.

May smiled back, not an evil smile, but a smile of love. "Dear Lord, I pray for Thunder. I pray that he sees the errors of his ways and make amends. Please help him to find true love in his heart, for his fellow and angels, but mostly for himself. And lastly, dear Lord, I pray that my soul is the only one taken on this day. Amen."

She closed her eyes and waited for the darkness, but instead of the tornado getting louder and her world getting darker, she felt a tremendous warmth as a sharp beam of light caressed her face.

"I have heard your prayer. Rise my daughter."

May squinted against the bright light as she got off her knees. As her eyes adjusted to the light, she saw all the angels bowed down. As the light dimmed and May could see a flame burning in its center.

"Do not be afraid my child," said the flame. "No harm will come to you. I have heard your prayer and have come to answer it."

May, realizing who she was speaking with dropped to a bow. "Forgive me Lord."

"No, child," said the flame. "Rise. You have sacrificed yourself for not only the good of your people, but in your hour of need you did not pray for yourself, but for your enemy. That is a true heart, one I won't take from this Earth before it's time. I have granted your prayers. Thunder will make amends."

"But will he find a way to love himself after what he has done?" asked May. "That was my prayer, as well."

"It will take some time, but he will. Thank you, May, for showing me the true human spirit. If there is anything I can do for you, you need only ask."

"Well there is one thing," May said, chewing on her finger.

The flame chuckled. "And what is that child?"

"My friends, Emerald, Diamond and the other angels, have been given the black feature in error," explained May.

"What black feature?" said the flame before slowly dying out.

Emerald was the first to rise to his feet. May ran to examine his wings. The black feather was gone. She looked to the other angels, all had pristine white wings again.

"We are forever in your debt," said Emerald. "How can we ever repay you?"

"No need," said May. "I'm just glad everyone is alright."

"Well we can't leave it at that can we," said Emerald to his fellow angels.

As if on cue, the angels sang and flowers upon flowers, covered the Earth.

Stone Magic ~ The Spirit Within

  •  Emeralds History & Lore
  • Pizarro and Cortez subdued the Inca and Mayan civilizations and took over the existing emerald and gold mines and began shipping these captured fortunes of gold and gems back to Spain, who in turn shipped them to India and Philippine trading ports where they found their way to China, Mongolia, and Delhi. These early thefts allowed Spain to become one of the leading world powers at the time.

Fallen Angels ~ Part 6

The tornado barreled toward the angels. May grabbed April's hand. "We must warn the townspeople," she cried.

May looked to Emerald. He stood tall, brows furrowed in determination and courage.

"I have to go," she yelled.

Getting a quick nod from Emerald, she ran with April towards the town. Branches and boulders fell around them causing the girls to trip. Out of nowhere two large stags galloped to their sides. The girls quickly jumped onto the deer, who then leapt over obstacles with grace.

May looked back and could see Emerald, Diamond and the other fallen angels fighting off their foes. The demons, Destruction and Rage continued their tornado destruction as they followed the girls. But, with the help of the stags, April and May were creating a distance between the tornado and themselves. If they were lucky they could get the townspeople into shelter before the demons hit.  They wouldn't have a minute to spare.

May could see the gates of the town just ahead. Her sister, April, was just ahead of her. She dared to glance back one last time. Her heart flooded with relief, they had a good ten minutes on the tornado. One ring of the bell and all the townspeople would retreat to their cellars.

A large boom filled the air causing May's stag to rear. May fell to the ground.

"May!" cried April.

"Keep going," May yelled, back. "Make sure the people are safe, I'll be alright."

April nodded and continued onto the gate.

"Did you think it would be that easy?" Thunder floated down, his voice barreling through the sky. "That you could just deny the demons what is rightfully theirs?"

"Those people do not belong to those monsters. You cannot have them. I will not let you." May wasn't sure where the sudden surge of courage had come from, but she was glad for it.

"Don't you see?" said Thunder. "You are but a mere mortal. You have no say in the discussions of angels. I have promised the demons souls and souls they shall have." His eyes narrowed. "And yours shall be the first."

In Memory of Anna Michelle Collar

In Memory of our daughter, sister, niece & grandaughter ~ Anna Michelle Collar ~ We have a Leukemia Awareness line of Jewelry. Check out of the beautiful pieces @
BUTTERFLIES are the essence of rebirth. Anna and I, her moth
er, Cathy, often talked about what happens when we pass on. She and I agreed that it must be similar to the caterpillar and the butterfly. We thought that the butterfly also could symbolize rebirth on earth, such as surviving a possible fatal disease like Leukemia. Either way the Butterfly was a beautiful symbol of rebirth.

Stone Magic ~ The Spirit Within

 Emerald History & Lore

It's said that Isis wore a green emerald—all who looked upon it were guaranteed a safe trip through the land of the dead. Emeralds in ancient Rome were highly prized and valued for the calming and soothing effects. Nero watched the Roman games in the coliseum through a set of highly prized emerald glasses. With the conquest of South American by the Spaniards in the 16th century, emeralds became more plentiful in Europe.

Fallen Angel ~ Part 5

Emerald blocked May with his massive wings. "You will not lay a finger on her, Thunder."

Thunder let out a ear splitting laugh. "As if you could do anything about it. You are fallen. Your strength pales in comparison to ours now."

"How did you do it?" asked April.

"How did I do what?" mocked Thunder.

"Make them all fall," April clarified. "It must take a brilliant mind to lay out such a plan. One might say a more brilliant mind than the creator."

"April watch your tongue," scolded May.

April shrugged. "I'm simply curious."

Thunder let out another laugh. "Maybe I'll take you home as my pet instead of your sister. I guess it doesn't matter now. You are already fallen. Nothing can change that."

Thunder snapped his fingers and two black snakes slithered out of the storm. "I'd like you to meet Destruction and Rage."

"The Devil's Demons," gasped Diamond.

"Why yes, while our Creator was speaking with the devil, trying to negotiate yet another peace treaty, they slipped into His steward's bag. Soon they found me with a message from the Devil himself. Turns out the last thing he wants is more angels snooping about. All it took was a little venom from my new friends, which we were able to inject just after Lightening was able to stun you all with a bolt. As soon as the venom entered your heart, you fell."

"You're working with the devil? This is an all time low, even for you Thunder," sneered Emerald.

"Why yes I am." Thunder narrowed his eyes. "I have taken over the Angel League and soon I will take over the world."

"Our Creator will stop you." Emerald furrowed his brow. "We will stop you."

The evil smile returned to Thunder's face as the angels behind him laughed. "I'd like to see you try."

He snapped his fingers again. Lightening smashed his hands together sending bolts flashing to the ground. May looked up just in time to see Destruction and Rage twisting together to form the biggest tornado she had ever seen.

Stone Magic ~ The Spirit Within

Emerald History & Lore
In ancient Egypt, emeralds were mined close to the Red Sea.
This tranquil green gem was highly prized by the wealthy and
the priest craft. The high cost made it far beyond the average
Egyptian's pocketbook.
It's said that Isis wore a green emerald—
all who looked upon it were guaranteed a safe trip through
the land of the dead.

Fallen Angel ~ Part 4

"April?" a soft voice came from the bushes. "Ester told me I could find you over here."

"May, what are you doing here?" asked April as her sister came through the bushes with another angel following her.

"Emerald," said Diamond, "not you as well."

"I'm afraid so, Brother," said Emerald as he stretched out his wings to show the one black feather. "We must go to Him. He will right this wrong."

"Go to who," asked May.

"Why the creator, of course," stated Emerald.

"But how?" asked Diamond. "As long as we have the black feather we won't be able to find the gates."

"Surely, the creator knows," said April. "He knows all."

Diamond shook his head. "He would want us to right this wrong ourselves. To fight for what's right. He won't take sides until he has to, so He is not an option. Remember He loves us all, including Thunder and the others."

The sky grew dark as a storm appeared out of nowhere.

"Thunder," yelled Emerald, "come and face us you coward."

The clouds grew darker and the wind whipped through May's hair as a tall angel followed by three more angels descended from the clouds. The male angel in front let out a tsk as he landed.

"Diamond, Emerald, it's such a shame to see you bear the black feather." His eyes narrowed. "But you were warned and have made the creator very unhappy."

Star let out a sob. "You are a monster, Thunder."

The corners of Thunder's mouth turned up in a wicked smile. "I'm not the one with the black feather, sweetheart. The creator has made it clear, angels will only be made by him. These mortals who come to live with us after their puny lives on Earth are over, are nothing but slaves. Take back your vote and I will dissolve your black feathers."

"I know my creator and you are wrong, sir," shouted May.

Thunder's eyes narrowed, then his voice boomed through the sky. "How dare you talk to an angel that way you mere mortal. Watch your tongue or you will be struck down."

He softened his face and his evil smile returned as he studied May. "Of course, I could use a pet like you."
